S.E.T. drill September 13, 2008

For National Preparedness Month Town of Smithtown ARES/RACES Held a Simulated Emergency Test on September 13th from 9 AM until 4 PM outdoors behind the Smithtown EOC. The object for the test was to setup a remote base camp with little preparation and operate on HF, VHF and UHF both voice and digital modes. The operation was a huge success. Our systems were up and on the air with in a half hour of arrival. The team worked very well together to get the camp up and running. Congratulations to the entire team for a job well done.
